Ladies 60, 65, 70 or older: do you think you've changed the way you cook as you've gotten older?

I remember my husband's Aunts saying that they just don't cook the way they used to after they reached about age 65 or so. And I think they did slow down a little. Oh, they did still knock themselves out here and there for special things, but they said they didn't bake as often or cook big heavy meals every night. And I'm wondering how they started cutting back without getting too much flack from their husbands. Only one of them is still alive, and I don't get to see her at all anymore. I'm still cooking steaks, chops, roasts, and everything like I did when I had 3 growing kids around here!! And I'd like to NOT spend at least 2 hours in the kitchen preparing supper every night, and to lighten things up a bit, including the fat and calories. Any suggestions??
