Jumbo chocolate chip muffin receipe

I admit it.  I am addicted to the jumbo chocolate chip muffins you can buy at Walmart.  The ones I make from internet recipes seem too crunchy.  I would like to make my own.  Does anyone have a receipe that isnt dry and crunchy?

 I like this recipe:

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup melted butter

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 tsp vanilla

2 cups flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Whisk oil, butter, sugar, and brown sugar in bowl.  Mix in eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla.  Sprinkle flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda on top of butter/sugar mixture.  Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.  Mix just until all white streaks are gone.

Spoon into paper liners in muffin tin to 2/3 full.  Bake in 350 degree oven until toothpick comes out clean, 18-20 minutes.

Whether crunchy or cake-like, I'd like them.
