after I read the recipe again I see it's denser consistency for a bread.

 

Guess I'll try to make the traditional way.  Just sounds delicious!

I made it Saturday. It was okay. First off, I’ll admit I’m not a seasoned baker. The bread was much darker than the picture (no big deal) and the cream cheese filling didn’t appear swirled but rather one faint slim line toward the bottom of the loaf. Maybe it sank? In any case, the taste was pretty good, especially the next day. I probably wouldn’t make it again.
