The duplicates are not a problem.  It occurs because the pages cannot update when you are using one.  Just the way computer programs work.

Sometimes, duplicates are good.  2 for 1!

Wow, ladies! The recipes are flying this month!

And I'm loving it!  Thank you for keeping me company at such a dismal time. It means a lot.

@GenXmuse

I made that Chicken Paprikash dish a few months ago. I ordered the paprika from Amazon, specifically for the recipe and it did not disappoint!

Orange Salad was my Italian Granny's special dish...but minus those onions!

Just sliced oranges as picture, cracked black pepper and drizzled w/ oilive oil.

She brought/made it for every special occassion.

I now do also, but used Blood Orange EVOO I get at a Specialty Oil/Vinegar store.

Ingredients

    • 1/2 head green cabbage, finely shredded (I use a bag of coleslaw)
    • 2 medium carrots, shredded
    • 1 tbsp Himalayan sea salt
    • 1/2 cup mayo
    • 1 tbsp mustard
    • 1/4 tsp paprika
    • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    • 2 tbsp raw honey
    • 1 cup cooked, chopped nitrate free bacon

Instructions

  1. Mix the cabbage and carrots with the salt and let sit for at least and hour then rinse thouroughly (it's important not to skip this step or you will end up with mushy coleslaw) if you are using a pre-made coleslaw mix, skip this step entirely.
  2. Combine mayo, honey, paprika, mustard and vinegar in a small bowl and mix well
  3. Pour over cabbage and carrot mixture and mix well
  4. Add bacon and mix well
  5. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
  6. Store leftovers (yeah right) covered int he fridge for up to 5 days.

@GenXmuse ....I forgot to mention too that I have made your Chicken Paprikash recipe....very good!!

Now for next recipe.....may have gotten it here...if so, sorry I don't know who gets credit!  (I just looked it up....posted by LilBitMissty in 2014!)

MAPLE Fried Apples with Sausage

1 pkg. link sausages (12-15)

6 apples

2 tablespoons apple juice

4 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup orange juice

1/3 cup pure MAPLE SYRUP

6 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Cook sausage links until done.  While cooking, pare and core apples.  Cut apples into thick slices. Put apple slices and apple juice in a covered pan.  Cook over medium heat until apples are tender.  Remove links from skillet.  Drain on paper towels.  Pour out excess grease but do not rinse skillet.  Melt butter in skillet.  Add cooked apples.  Cook over med-lo heat stirring frequently.  Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking long enough to blend.  Return sausage links to pan and reheat.

Pasta Pomodoro

Ingredients:

8-10 Roma tomatoes ( I have used Cherry tomatoes)
8-10 leaves fresh basil
2-3 cloves garlic
Red pepper flakes to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper
pound of pasta  (I use rigatoni)
Pecorino Romano cheese

Easy Cooking Instructions:

Before you start… Put water on to boil for pasta.
Cut tomatoes in eighths; set aside.  Slice garlic thin.  Cut basil into strips.

Add olive oil, basil, and garlic to large skillet pan.

Make sure the pan is deep enough to hold all the
tomatoes and the pasta that you will add later.

Simmer for a minute or two.  Do not let the garlic brown

Add the tomatoes.

Cover and cook 15 minutes or until tomatoes become a sauce.
Add salt and pepper to taste.

Cook the pasta while tomatoes are cooking.

When pasta is ready add directly to tomato sauce in pan.

Mix and serve.  Garnish with fresh basil and cheese.  Yummy!
