This is one of those easy tasty recipes that appeals to kids and grandkids as well as adults.
Italian Meat Pie
1 lb ground beef
1 sm onion, chopped
12-14 oz Ragu, or your favorite, spaghetti sauce and water
9" pie crust, unbaked
1/3 c Parmesan cheese, grated
2 c Mozzarella cheese, grated
Preheat oven to 400 deg F. Brown beef in large skillet. Drain. Add onions and sauté till soft. Stir in Ragu and couple ounces of water to thin. Cover and simmer ten minutes.
Sprinkle half of the Parmesan over bottom of pie shell. Spread half meat mixture in pie shell. Sprinkle half of mozzarella cheese over. Layer remaining meat and Parmesan. Bake on cookie sheet 15 min. Sprinkle top with remaining Mozzarella and return to oven till cheese melts. Serves 6.
