@panda1234 ---yes and to me, it is horrible! Not a fan--those 2 should be enjoyed separately, IMO

@wagirl Are you talking about chocolate covered bacon? I agree it is odd but if you like sweet and salty you might like this. Another good one is chocolate covered potato chips. Hope you are not grossed out.

[ Edited ]

I love bacon but I only allow myself the two slices that I have on Sunday.  I always try to find the lower sodium one when I buy it in the store.  When I bring home a package I always divide it into four slices each and wrap each one in plastic and then freeze them. On Saturday evening I take a package out and leave it in the refrigerator and by morning it's thawed.

Like @Biftu I like my bacon well done.  It has to be crisp.  When I was a kid if my mother would have allowed me to I would have eaten almost the whole package. That's how much I've always loved bacon.  Unfortunately those days of eating 5 slices are way in the past.  Now I just enjoy it in moderation.

Love bacon, but I have to have mine really well done, almost burnt.

@Biftu    I agree.  I has to be well done.  I had to laugh at my sister-in- law the last time we went to lunch.  She ordered breakfast and told the waitress " no blubber please on the bacon".  😄

From Nationaltoday.com

It’s National Bacon Lovers Day on August 20. Arguably our favorite in-office holiday, no smell on Earth is as attractive as the thin-sliced bacon sizzling in a pan and served with anything at hand. Bacon is the hero of every meal it’s incorporated into. No wonder it’s been such a massive part of western cuisine since 1500 B.C. This means, for thousands of years, we have relished the sweet-savory smell of bacon frying, and the chewy taste too. One could argue that it’s now coded into our D.N.A., a historic love for bacon.

I'm a Turkey bacon lover, any bacon lovers out there? How are you celebrating ? Any good recipies using bacon ? Woman LOL

@Goodie2shoes   I like turkey bacon too.  Today we are taking the grandkids to lunch for a little back to school celebration.  They like Cracker Barrel.  They have the best bacon according to the kids....
