Is there a decent store-bought pesto?

I dislike making this and there are so many pestos on the shelves. Has anyone ever bought a good one?

I like Costco's.  Not as good as homemade (if made by someone who knows how make good pesto), BUT it is a good substitue that is ready made.  Like all things at Costco - it is more than you need.  It comes in a large jar, so I pour it into muffin tins, freeze it and then pop out the frozen individual servings to keep on hand for longer use.

I like the Buitoni brand with Basil in the refrigerated case at the grocery store.

I second Costco's.  It can be frozen in smaller portions if you don't eat all of it.  If you have a Kroger store near you their Private Selection brand is good as well.

If you have a Wegmans near you they have a Mediterranean Bar with olives, bruschetta, pesto, etc. That's where I usually get mine. Very good as is everything at that bar.

Re: Is there a decent store-bought pesto?

I my humble opinion---a big, fat NO!!!!! I make pesto every year either from my plants or from the farmers market. I also use half spinach in my recipe too, then freeze tasty dollups and use year round. Store bought has way too much salt and who knows what else to stabilize it. Homemade is the best and very easy too.
