So my other Potato Soup one is gone now? That's too bad. I didn't get to copy any. Shucks!

I'm not sure, but you may be able to post asking the mods to restore it since they're totally different things.

@cheriere

I already did that....see my post #15 above

Re: Is there a Sweet Potato Soup?

@gloriajean

This was the Potato Soup recipe I posted on the thread they deleted for some unknown reason.

I made it last weekend and it was very easy, customizable and really good.

Made a couple notes....

It is from plan chicken . com  where she calls anything with Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix 'crack'.  I think that is stupid (ha ha) so I renamed this

Hash Brown Potato Soup

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 (30 to 32-oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns  **my bag was around 26 oz
  • 3 (14.5-oz) cans chicken broth
  • 1 (10.75-oz) can cream of chicken soup ** I use homemade cr chix soup
  • 1 (1-oz) package Original Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing Mix
  • 1 pound bacon, cooked and chopped **I only added crumbled bacon on top when served
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine hash browns, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, Ranch dressing mix, and bacon in a 6 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours.
  2. *I did a mixture of low and high for around 5 hours.
  3. 15 minutes before serving, stir in cheddar cheese and cream cheese until melted.
  4. I topped with MORE cheese when serving!

I don't think it helped, LOL

I couldn't find it again...I missed the other recipes too.

I do have a ton of recipes but I always like to see what others post.

I have gotten my BEST recipes from the Q boards!

@RespectLife    I think you're right about the post not helping.😔

I'm finding out just how wonderful some of our forum friends are about posting delicious recipes.  I'm looking so forward to trying many, especially with fresh fruits and veggies this summer.😃

Re: Is there a Sweet Potato Soup?

One of our favorite workplace lunch spots was a takeout place as in Seinfeld's famous Soup "Guy" episode. My favorite, and apparently everyone else's since you had to get there early, was Sweet Potato with Jalapeño, served with garlic toast. Delicious.
