What do you do for inside cooking?
I've been getting these 2 small sirloins, (about 2.5 inches thick) and they've been coming out pretty good, but was wondering how would you all cook them...?
These are tender enough, but I've also done them with tenderloins.
My way is to salt & pepper and let rest for about 20 minutes before popping into a 400-degree oven.
(I always pre-heat my -dry- pans in the oven....)
EVOO in the pan & a sprinkle on top of the steaks.
Bake for about 30 min.
My sauce: brown sugar mixed with a good dollop of Dijon. Pour over the steaks & back into the oven for about 5 min.

My indoor ninji grill cooks steaks extraordinarily well. I use Dales sauce and Weber steak seasoning with salt and pepper. It is perfection!

Sounds like my salmon recipe with the brown sugar and mustard (and non stick foil!)

May I ask what kind of Ninja grill do you use? Is it the 4 in 1 grill that costs around $200.00?
Thank You. 😊

@Squirt60 I thought that there was only one kind of ninji grill. I remember that it was expensive (over $200 as i recall). I wasnt sure I would like it, but I LOVE it. Tonight I cooked salmon in it and it was perfect. It comes with a grill bottom and also a pan, which allows you to use it like an air fryer. I highly recommend it.

i cook my steaks in the oven. I use a probe thermometer to keep track of the temperature of the steaks. I bake in the oven at 275 to 300 degrees until the steaks get to 115 degrees. This will take about 30 to 35 mins. I then heat a cast iron pan on the stove for about 10 mins and by then the steak would get to be about 125 degrees. I would sear the steak with some butter in the pan; about a minute per side and then remove from the pan and let rest for about 10 mins before serviing.

I use my Curtis Stone grill pan on the stovetop and couldn't recommend it enough!

cast iron skillet.
I don't buy steaks that thick, but if I did I would finish in the oven.
Only salt & pepper

Inside we use a cast iron grill or a Le Creuset grill pan.
I don't like to cook steaks more than about an inch and a half thick, or even an inch thick. I like a good sear on the outside and medium rare inside, which is easy to get on a grill pan for a steak of that size. Don't get the pan too hot, get the sear and flip or pop in the oven then.

I have been using my air fryer for tenderloins with great success. It leaves a nice crust on the top and is ready in minutes (depends on how you like your steak done).
