@ECBG : Your recipe sounds interesting. I don't like cottage cheese . What about using the sugar free jello, omitting the cottage cheese?

Honey, not mine, just an extremely popular one.  I think you could drop the cottage cheese.  You could add a little Mandarin oranges well drained.  Don't add extra liquid if you omit anything or it might not gel.

I am not fond of lime unless it's a key lime pie.

sarahpanda, I use SF peach jello & instead of the cold water I use a can of diet Mountain Dew.  It gives it a kick & the dgc love it too. Then I add red grapes and Mandarin Oranges.

This is a very old recipe, my mothers friend made it.

Just 2ingredients

1 small box Jello 1 quart vanilla ice cream

Made Jello like on the box 1 cup boiling water made sure Jello is dissolved.

Take ice cream out of freezer to soften up a bit. Add ice cream instead of the 1 cup cold water. When ice cream is completely melted stir to combine put in frig. to set up.

**Now I have only used reg. Jello orange, lemon, lime, and strawberry.**

can double recipe and I have only used reg. Van. Ice cream.

Can also layer different flavors but Jello has to set up in frig. For about an hour

Between layers. At Christmas I use red and green red and green. I just buy 1/2 gal.

Ice cream in carton and cut in quarters.
