I stumbled on some cheese that had horseradish and I used in baked macaroni and cheesea, which turned out to be quite delicious. What are some some good ways to incorporate it otherwise?

We live near Collinsville, Il which is the horseradish capital of the world! We use horseradish in a lot of things. If you have cheese that contains it, just use it like you would any cheese and would like the "bite" of the horseradish. Place it on your burger for a new taste, use it in salads, sandwiches, salads, eggs, etc. A slice on a roast beef sandwich would be devine as would on a cheesesteak sandwich. You know the bite of the cheese you have, so if you think it will pair well with something, give it a try. We use horseradish in many things here and cheese that has it in it, would be a grand thing! It can be quite hot so be careful until you get the feel of what you have.

I bought the cheese in error but had to use it, kids detected the 'twang' but still deemed it worthy of consumption. @sunshine45 Sauce recipe please.......

Is anyone adventurous for the Polish goulish dish that my mother always made at Easter? - which tradition came from her mother & father, both of whom came from the old country.
It called for fresh, shaved horse radish, and the dish just isn't the same without it.
This is the order in which we assembled it: shaved horse radish (however much you want), cubed pumpernickle bread, chopped hard boiled egg, Kielbasa (cooked & sliced), topped off with a vinegar hot water w/ black pepper.
My sister carries on the tradition; I never did.

I love horseradish. Harpa, that authentic, Old World horseradish dish from Ploand sounds delicious!

I love horseradish. I 'm not very creative but I love it with bleu cheese on steaks & burgers. I don't cook much so I purchase bottled bleu cheese dressing and add the horseradish to the dressing, turning it into a sauce.
I like the dressing sold in jars in the produce section-- very chunky.
I also like cocktail sauce with seafood. I sometimes make my own with chili sauce and prepared horseradish. And I can't drink a Bloody Mary without horseradish.
You can add it to deviled eggs, coleslaw. Once you kind of nail down a good horseradish sauce, you can use it on veggies like green beans, carrots.
The grocery store deli sells a cheddar cheese with horseradish. It will open your sinuses! I like it on a good roast beef sandwich, either cold or served like a cheesesteak-type sandwich. I no longer even do a roast at home, the deli london broil is sooo good. I have them slice it either thin for sandwiches or a bit thicker for other recipes. I love a good shortcut.
You can really get creative with it and a little goes a long way.

Since the kids like it in mac & cheese, sneak some into mashed potatoes--- yum!
