I tried this at a friend’s wine tasting party recently. It was really good. I haven’t made it myself but here’s the recipe.

Thank you both so much for these!!! I’m gonna make them this weekend!!! I had Hawaiian cheese ball with some chicken salad from a local store and it was really yummy, so I’d thought I’d try my hand at making it myself!!!

@godi - Lawry’s has seasoned salt but I’m sure there are other brands that are healthier with less salt.

You can buy it in a bottle, but I make my own:

1/4 cup kosher salt

1 tbsp pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

I store mine in an old spice jar.

@godi, salt with herbs and spices mixed in. It is sold in a small bottle. There are many brands. The herbs and spices that are added vary across the brands.

Re: ISO - Hawaiian cheese ball recipe

Hawaiian Cheese Ball or Spread

2 - 8 oz packages softened cream cheese

1/4 cup finely diced green pepper

2 Tbsp. minced onion

8 oz can crushed pineapple, drained

1/2 small jar diced pimento, drained

Chopped pecans

Mix all ingredients together except pecans.

Shape into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap (like Saran)

Chill and then sprinkle with nuts

OR, place mixture in serving dish, sprinkle with nuts and chill (for a spread)

I've made this numerous times and always get compliments. There's just something about cream cheese and pineapple!
