Re: I think Martha missed the mark on this one....

No doubt the execution of panna cotta for dessert was delicious; however, the presentation of it in a lobster mold for dessert--even on an island in Maine--does miss the mark.  Surely that mold could have been put to better use elsewhere in the meal.

Strive for respect instead of attention. It lasts longer.

Thank goodness for the explanation of what it was...I thought it was ice cream with strawberries on top that had melted...Thought it was a promo for a new show: Desserts Gone WrongWoman LOL It probably did not look good but was delicious!

That lobster plate reminded me of the first Thanksgiving DH and I had.  We both worked at the same place but on different shifts.  He invited the single guy on midnight shift to join us for T. Dinner.

Made the turkey and and for dessert I made an orange jello in the lobster mold !  Will never forget it !

It reminds me of a jelly fish or something. Strange.

I saw the same thing, @jannabelle1  ... I was afraid I'd get censured if I mentioned it.

She’s on vacation by the sea in Maine, so I think it’s cute that they did a themed dessert. She has her grandkids with her, so she probably wanted to do something whimsical. Raspberries, vanilla panna cotta and blue curaçao sounds like a delicious combination.

I know Martha has a fondness of vintage 'cooking/baking' gadgets

So using her vintage mold was her intnetion and she used it in a very clever way with the white foam on the blue sea.

Everyone loves Jello - I do

Not easy to unmold thst thing without tearing a claw or 2 - kudos Martha
