After lots of snow shoveling during the last snow storm, I came in cold and starving. I opened a microwave bowl of Hormel Chili (love) and then discovered I had no corn bread or any bread at all to go with it.

All I had was some Jimmy the Bakers Choc. Chip Corn Muffins .

So I said "what the heck".........I'm just gonna crumble them all up and throw them in, choc chips and all!

OMG, It was delicious my new favorite food Try it you will love it {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Desperate times calls for desperate measures...lol!! It's always fun to try an odd combo and get a tasty meal.I think since some chili has chocolate in it, it would work great! I got a tip to eat a sweet potato stuffed with pork bbq in bbq sauce(FunkyHulaGirl,thanx) and I now eat that often.

Normally I would think you were nuts for combining these foods, but something similar happened to me a couple weeks ago. I was in a huge rush for a meal when DH came home unexpectedly, he works out of town a lot. All I had on hand was leftover ground round stroganoff (Mary Beth's recipe) and my recipe of ground round shop suey with peapods, onions, green peppers with soy sauce. My thought was "here goes nothing" so I mixed and heated them together. DH thought it was delicious.

Anyone else have a weird combination that came out better than you thought it would?

Several years ago, I was at work and hubby decided to fix dinner before I got home. I had defrosted pork chops and he grabbed powered sugar instead of flour to fry them. To be honest, they were not bad at all. We still laugh about that one.

Yesterday while trying to doctor up a flavorless hamburger veg soup (which usually turns out great) I accidently grabbed cinnamon instead of chili powder and dumped a bunch in. My husband heard me "fussing" and came in and said, "maybe it will help." Got as much out as I could and just a hint of cinnamon was left. It was edible.{#emotions_dlg.blushing}
