How do you use your Ninja 4-in-1 Accutemp Cooking System w/ Auto-iQ?

I bought the

Ninja 4-in-1 Accutemp Cooking System w/ Auto-iQ recently and have used a few of the auto IQ recipes, which are great. But I'm wondering how the rest of you have used it for things other than the auto-IQ recipes? Do you have other recipes you can share (not auto-IQ recipes)?

@AussieLuvr.  Did you know that there's a Ninja forum on Facebood with hundreds of recipes and helpful hints?  You have to request to join but it's no big deal.  Shouldn't be hard to find.

@AussieLuvr

Love my Ninja 4 in 1.  It is hard to ruin anything that you make.  Mine is not the Auto IQ so everything you do should be fine. I go on youtube or google when I have a food to cook and want to do in in the Ninja rather than stove or oven.

Made roasted yukon gold potatoes the other day that came out crispy and delish from a googled find

Slow Cooker Crispy Potato Wedges

Author: Slow Cooker Gourmet
Ingredients

  • 1 pound yukon baby gold potatoes cut into wedges
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic minced (I just used the kind from the jar!)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or dried works too!
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
  1. Toss it all together and cook for 4-6 hours on high

I used 3 lbs  and Penzy's Foxpoint seasoning with extra salt pepper and cheese.  Turned mine over after about an hour and half and cooked another hour.

Right now I am committing the ultimate steak sin and trying an expensive ribeye. Hopefully it comes out tender if not I will crock pot set it for an hour or so.

@hopi  Those potatoes sound great! I think I'll go do some now. My husband bought a bag of teeny, new red potatoes at the grocery store "by mistake" and I've been thinking about what I should do with them. I think this is it!

@Kachina624 I did NOT know there was a Ninja FB group! Thank you! I'll go find it right now!

I don't understand.   Why use something that takes 4-6 hours to cook that you can use the oven for and cook for 45 minutes or so?

Because I don't like to heat up the whole house when I don't have to.  Also, it costs more money to use oven.
