whole wheat bun with lots, and lots, of BBQ sauce!

I'm married to a Southern guy who loves barbecue, and after I introduced him to Carolina BBQ with mustard/vinegar-based sauce (which I discovered while in college in NC many years ago),he's a fan of that style, first and foremost. 

We just moved from DC area to Georgia and had lunch yesterday with our son, DIL and granddaughter, with carryout from  an excellent BBQ restaurant that just opened near us.  It is part of a small group of BBQ places that have rave reviews.

Meal was delicious.  Now, I'm going to tell you how "I" personally like to eat pulled pork, no matter where we buy it or get it at parties...............just plain meat on a plate with BBQ sauce, mixed with some really good and spicy baked beans and mayo-based coleslaw.  I'm probably the only person who likes to mix up the three dishes into one pile that might turn others off to look at.

I had to laugh at your mixing of your foods!   My Mama always said "It all goes to the same place!"   I just didn't know in my case, it all went to my hips!

 Eastern North Carolina vinegar pepper sauce or South Carolina mustard BBQ sauce with  lightly mayonnaised slaw on bun (Burger or Brioche)

Also good topped with not too sweet baked beans on cornbread.

That sounds perfect to me! I've also been known to mix some of the pulled pork in my baked beans. I also like to eat it without a bun with a side of coleslaw.

Don't like pulled pork and will not order it or eat it... Not my desire....
