Re: How about a cookbook from Forum Posters and QVC Viewers?

@KingstonsMom  It appears she has sold her website. This is what the url was, but now the  recipe board is no longer there

@cherry

I wonder if it was 'Carol1229'?

She posted some awesome recipes here, but also had her own website. She took amazing photos of her dishes too!

I sure miss her posting here.Heart

Re: How about a cookbook from Forum Posters and QVC Viewers?

No, it wasn't Carol1229.  The lady was named Hollee and the recipes were by the Recipe Swap posters from around 2005-2008.  There was also a 2005 Holiday Goodies cookbook in PDF format posted there which was put together by Adeli.

Several months ago there was a post from Hollee here in RECIPES that she was going to stop paying for the BBD site when the fees were due again.  Sadly, the collection is now gone.

@KingstonsMom Hollee's site was a wonderful idea, and she did a great job of organizing and posting the recipes in categories; but it wasn't what you were longing for to just be able to look up recipes online from RECIPE SWAP and RECIPES since it wasn't kept current with every recipe ever posted here.

You can find quite a few old QVC files on the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, but you have to be somewhat computer savvy to find what you're looking for and there are big gaps in what's available.

By the way, I just checked and you can find an archive of bb-recipes.com at:

https://web.archive.org/web/20081016191312/http://www.bb-recipes.com/

All the way at the bottom of the page, with a green background, you will find the categories (APPETIZERS, BREADS, CAKES, etc.) -- the ones I checked still work within the Wayback Machine.  You can copy and paste the reipes within each category into a Word Processor file.

The "Holiday Goodies" file mentioned above looks to still be accessible from the category LINKS.

Re: How about a cookbook from Forum Posters and QVC Viewers?

@Honeybit....Thank you so much for posting the archived site for the old QVC recipe board.  I used to browse this every once in awhile but hadn't looked at it in years.  It's been on my mind the past few months but I didn't have the web site any longer and figured it was lost forever.

It was fun, and sad, to see a lot of those posters names that I haven't seen post here on the boards in forever.

Thanks again!!

Cherry, that was Hollee's website. She compiled so many recipes, organized and posted them.

Hollee did return about a year ago to say she was taking down the site. Looks like she finally did.

Hope all is well with her and Kirby her Furby. 😗

Re: How about a cookbook from Forum Posters and QVC Viewers?

I myself really liked the Christmas Album that the host made one year, DavidVenable, Mary Beth Rowe, and just to name a few, it was really a nice collection, usually most things anymore are a one time deal.Just like the Christmas Host Cooking or baking with their families while the Q. Paused for the Christmas Break, I wish it would come back It was a nice treat to watch.Maybe the Q. will take a vote.
