@PA Mom-mom I have never tried it but it sounds great! It kind of reminds me of Jezebel sauce but cranberry instead of pineapple. Thanks for the recommendation.

@PA Mom-mom I bet it will be great. I used to see stonewalls products in Kohl’s before. I haven’t had them in a while. I’m getting some of this on A. Bet it will be great on cream cheese.
I’ve had several of their products, all tasted great. Not everyone eats cranberries here either, but my sister makes a great cranberry orange relish.
@annie315 The Brie recipe looks great too! I’m trying both here.

@grandma petes I'll try to report back after Thanksgiving, although it usually takes me a few days to recover. @Nonametoday Thanks for your review of this flavor of jelly. Also, I'm glad so many people can recommend this brand. I'm going to order a jar and try it. Everyone, thanks for your input and suggestions! I love preparing for Thanksgiving, but it's always difficult to introduce new things to the traditionalists in my family.

@annie315 Your brie recipe looks yummy. I might try it for a party. Probably can't pull it off for T-Day, because there is just too much else going into the oven.

It's not a pairing I would have thought of but it sounds delish.
I have never met a cream cheese I didn't like!

I just use the plain hot pepper jelly over a brick of cream cheese. The only way anyone in my family will eat cranberries is either as juice or straight from the can cranberry sauce.
(yuk). I have pretty much given up on getting them to try something new they usually revolt when I try a new holiday dish.
I make a cheese ball that everyone asks me to make each year...no cranberries in it...and I will make it again this year. Will post the recipe if anyone asks. Super easy.
I also put out a log of goat cheese and put honey over it, then roll in sunflower seeds, place whole blackberries around it... very pretty presentation. I usually buy two logs of goat cheese and put either cherry or blackberry preserves over it..not too much..,and serve with Carr's crackers.

Yum, Great idea! I might soften the cream cheese with some sour cream and mix-in the cranberry pepper jelly to make dip... Anyway, this post makes me excited for autumn! Thanks!

@deepwaterdotter wrote:I make maple-cinnamon cream cheese to eat with zucchini bread:
8 ounces softened cream cheese
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
@deepwaterdotter This sounds like I could eat the whole thing! Do you just mix everything at room temp?

@PA Mom-mom Yes I've had this a few times. It's really good! You just gave me a good idea for Thanksgiving. Thanks!

Yes, this very appetizer was on our holiday treat table at work the entire 12 years I was in that department. It was a favorite.
