I found this recipe in one of my vintage cookbooks.
I'm curious if any of you have ever made them, or even tasted them.
Thank you.

I have never made or ate them. Sounds & looks yummy.
What year is your Betty Crocker Cookbook. Looks older then mine.
I got one when we got married in 1976. I know every recipe I made from it was good. We still use the cookbook today.

It was published in 1963.
I purchased it from Ebay several years ago.
Mine is 23rd printing, 1974. It sure comes in handy. I needed it when we got married since I knew nothing about cooking. LOL!!!
I had to call mom to ask how to make a can of green beans.

My husband’s grandmother made these for him. I didn’t know where the recipe came from and know I know. Thank you.

They sound like they'd be messy with honey running all over the place.

I would just brush on a thin coating of honey - just enough to stick the biscuits together.
My friend just brought me two jars of honey from Oregon. It's delicious and I was looking for a way to use it.

@Kachina624 I agree it sounds messy and to roll the dough so thin makes them not biscuits. Just give me a hot biscuit and split it, smear on the butter, drizzle on some Tupelo Honey and let me eat it over the sink so the honey will drip in the sink! HEAVEN!

If BC had it in her book, that's good enough for me. They sound good. Are you making them?

I asked my DH about the biscuits on his short break at work.
He said “Thank you housecat for the long lost recipe”
His grandmother would brush the honey on the cookies while still warm. Then she would use a homemade jam between the layers.
