Homemade Taco Seasoning

Homemade Taco Seasoning

 

1 Tablespoons Chili Powder

1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder

1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder

1/4 teaspoon dried Oregano

1/2 teaspoon Paprika

1 1/4  to 1 1/2 teaspoons Ground Cumin

1 teaspoon (or to taste)  Sea Salt

1/2 teaspoon (or to taste) Black Pepper

 

**IF YOU LIKE IT REAL SPICY, ADD SOME RED PEPPER FLAKES**

 

**Edited to change Chili Powder amt to 1 Tablespoon**

Sounds great and we control the amount of each ingredient.  For a commercial brand you can't beat Frontier Mexican Fiesta.  But I always believe homemade is better!  Thanks.

This is a tasty and economical recipe.  I usually add 1 tsp cornstarch as a thickener.

This is a good recipe to have on hand.  Not long ago, I was going to fix tacos when I realized I did not have a package of seasoning.  What to do?  Ahhhh, Pinterest knows everything.......and, I found a very similar recipe (less chili powder)....saved the day (dinner)!
