Here Come the New Jersey Blueberries!

I saw an interview with a Hammonton, NJ blueberry farmer who said the first crop will be picked this week. They're late because of a cool spring, but they're large and sweet.

Hammonton is to blueberries as Vidalia is to sweet onions.

Absolutely my favorite - we wait all year for these berries.  I buy enough for now and then freeze them for the winter.  I live in NJ but truly believe they are the best.

Yum....can't wait, blue berries have been lacking in taste/sweetness. This is good news.  Love my Vidalia, so I know I'll love Hammonton.

I hope the Forrest fire does not harm this year's crop.  🙏🏻🫐

I MISS  Jersey blueberries, corn and tomatoes. I live in central NY now. What I get here, even from the local farms, can't compare to Jersey.

I miss my home state so much.................

Who wants to visit me?  I'll cook for you, if you bring me some fabulous produce!  Whaddya say?

Enjoy it all!

Oh my. Got my first container today and they're not as sweet and blueberry tasting as in the past. Also, this is the first container I've ever had where there are no berries with the little stems still attached.

I hope using new machinery that removes EVERY stem didn't require a different variety of berry.
