I just read about Green Salt this week. I may be behind the times, but I've never heard of green salt before. It's made from dehydrated and ground sea asparagus (sometimes called pickleweed, glasswort, sea beans, crow’s foot greens). It is said to have less sodium than traditional salt and many more health benefits. I'm kind of a salt addict and am trying to cut back on my sodium intake as I get older. Anyone have any personal experience with this? It seems rather expensive. The Green Salt dot com company has a 9 oz. bag for $22.00. We have a huge Asian supermarket near our house, so there may be cheaper examples there.

Re: Have You Tried Green Salt?

Sounds interesting! I read it has less potassium so it is safe for people with kidney problems. I think this will be a great stocking stuffer (yes I can't ever wait til Christmas) for one of my daughters!💝

Re: Have You Tried Green Salt?

@PA Mom-mom   No, thanks for the information.  I've eaten black salt (sub for an egg taste) in the past.  I haven't eaten overt salt now for years.  I use Table Tasty, I buy it on Amazon....(tried all the salt subs🤢 really bad).  If you are wanting to cut back, you might really like the TT...it is made with herbs and really satisfies your craving for salt. The only drawback is the cost $$$$....we buy it in the 2lb pound to save a bit.  Wishing you the best on your cut back!
