Re: Have You Started Planning Thanksgiving/Christmas Recipes?

@PA Mom-mom   Thank you.  Glad the Antipasto Squares recipe might work for you.  If I do start another thread for appetizers down the road I'll try to avoid making it seasonal or holiday specific so as not to turn off fellow forum members who don't like thinking as far ahead as some others of us do.

I'm constantly looking for new seasonings or ingredients for standard recipes.  Sometimes the classics just can't be improved but once in a while someone does come up with a new spin that tickles the taste buds.

And I really do recommend searching the older recipe threads.  I've gotten lots of ideas from generous people that used to post but don't anymore for a variety of reasons.

The simple answer to the question is, "No," however, I keep detailed files from every holiday.  Going back ten years for a menu, cooking timeline or even a grocery shopping list would not be a problem.

@alliswell , it's just good notes saved on a harddrive.  😏

@IamMrsG  Same here. My notes go back to 2003. It's kind of a diary. Some of the people I mention in my notes are no longer with us. Sad, but good memories.

My plan is to drive to the local casino or chinese restaurant like we always do for major holidays.  Those big cooking holidays were never my favorite, too much stress no matter who was cooking.

No planning here. We have the same menu every year.  I know what we are having until I am no longer able to cook, sit up and receive nourishment.

@Carmie  Hehhhhh! 😁😂 I like you. You’re a hoot!
