This is good as an appetizer or a main dish with added rice, etc.

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 t minced garlic
1/2 t minced ginger
4 T honey
2 T soy sauce
juice of  1/2 lime
pinch of red pepper flakes (or to taste)

Combine garlic, ginger, honey, soy sauce, lime juice and red pepper flakes.  Use 1/2 for a marinade and save 1/2 for sauce.

Marinade shrimp for 30 minutes.  Discard marinade.

Over med high heat with some oil cook the shrimp.  About 1 minute per side.  Rub the shrimp into caramelized bits on bottom of the pan and place that side up on serving dish.  Warm up remaining sauce and drizzle over shrimp.

I leave the tails on if using for an appetizer.  Sprinkle with sliced green onion or some chopped parsley for color.

This does sound so good! Going to give it a try for our Christmas Eve buffet, over a bed of rice.

Thanks for sharing, @DiAnne!!

Thanks @DiAnne!  I think that is dinner for tomorrow night.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!
