HELP!!

There was a thread on here several months ago about cooking a roast - I believe it was started on high heat and then turned off - not sure. Anyway I tried because I was curious and it gave great rare roast beef for sandwiches but evidently I did not print it. Tried to pull something up in recipe swap but was unsuccessful. Does anyone remember??
