Came across a recipe for chopped steak and it calls for soft bread crumbs.  What are soft bread crumbs?  Could I use the bread crumbs from Progresso?  Thanks!

@ScrapHappy  Soft bread crumbs are simply regular bread slices put into a blender or food chopper and give it a whirl or two.  Now you have soft breadcrumbs

You can make soft bread crumbs by putting fresh bread into a food processor and pulse it a few times.

Using dry bread crumbs instead of soft can affect the texture of the dish.

Re: HELP WITH RECIPE

Leave white bread out over night and then grind it up in your Oster type blender or a food processor. You don’t have to leave the bread out if you don’t have time to do so.

Don't use progresso. Those are dried crumbs.
