I had my children convinced these were a special treat when they were young even though they are just a grilled ham and cheese sandwich!!

2 T Dijon mustard
8 slices white bread - crusts removed
8 slices Swiss cheese
4 thin slices deli ham
2 T butter

Spread mustard over four slices of bread. Top each with a slice of cheese, ham and another slice of cheese. Top with remaining bread. Butter outside of sandwiches (I melt the butter and brush it on). Cook over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Cut each sandwich lengthwise into thirds. Serve with or without heated maple syrup.
