@PA Mom-mom I like it in pie and crumble. It's supposed to be good for digestion and the kidneys. It was well used in colonial times as a "Spring tonic" as it was one of the first " Fruit" available. Lots of fiber to get get the old Gut moving after a winter of sedentary, long winter of dried and preserved stores.
I just like the tartness of it.

@candys mine I just got a Blue Jean Chef email entitled "Rhubarb Time." She has 5 great looking recipes for rhubarb, including a rhubarb crisp (maybe like your crumble?) and a rhubarb-mint gin and tonic.

@kze and @CelticCrafter When I was growing up, we had a large asparagus bed. I was not allowed to cut the thin spears, because they would be stronger and a greater yield the next year. So I have always loved the thicker spears. For me it's too easy to overcook the pencil thin spears.

I like mine crispy, what many people would consider under done, so I roast in a very hot oven for just a few minutes.

Love asparagus and eat it often. I sometimes will steam it but more often than not SO will grill it after tossing with evoo, s/p. Very simple and so good. We like it when it still has a bit of crunch to it.

Love asparagus. Just had some on Friday at my favorite restaurant with baked haddock and mashed potatoes. Love squash, baby peas, eggplant, tomatoes. I'm making a stew today and since turnip is out of season, I'm using brussel sprouts. Yes I like turnip.

Sugar Snap Peas. Delicious raw or cooked. My grandparents used to grow them in their garden on Long Island.
These days I have to settle for Trader Joe's. Still love them.

I also love Spinach, Cabbage & Kale.
And yes, I'm the weirdo who actually loves Okra too.
@LavernLuvsShoes @How do you prepare your kale? Is the fresh any different than the frozen? I'm trying to eat more kale. Do you ever steam it in the microwave?
