@Reconnaissant  We are a pie family, so I make Apple, Pumpkin (using butternut squash), and ground cherry (a PA Dutch thing). My SIL makes a mean pecan pie. Everyone has their favorite, but I really like the pecan. If I had to make a cake I would make a NY style cheesecake. Easy and delicious!

Thanksgiving:  My SIL makes the best pies.  My favorite is her cherry pie.

Christmas: Anything chocolate.  This year I am making Chocolate Mousse.

For Thanksgiving pumpkin pie and cherry pie.

For Christmas a raspberry cheesecake and cherry pie.

For a prime rib family dinner, chocolate lava cake.

@ECBG , care to share the recipe?  My DD loves anything fudgelike and I am trying to figure out something to do.

I would be pleased to do so tomorrow.   I haven't typed that one up.  I've been working off of the handwritten recipe 10 years ago.  It's a fave though!!!Smiley Happy
