Fancy Frank Fry

1 pound frankfurters (10-12)

assorted fillings such as:

strips of cheese (I use this)

chopped onions

crushed pineapple..drained

or your choice filling

10-12 strips bacon

2 8 ounce cans tomato sauce

2 teaspoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Slit frankfurters lengthwise, but DO NOT cut them completely through! Fill the opening with fillings. Wrap a strip of bacon around each frank, covering the slit completely. Pin with toothpicks. Place in a cold skillet. Fry over medium heat turning often, til bacon is crisp. Drain. Add tomato sauce, sugar and mustard. Blend. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
