This is an adult variation on a kids favorite.

1 slice of bread (I use french bread)
2 T butter
1 egg
1 T sherry vinegar
1 T water
Fresh chopped parsley
Freshly ground pepper

Butter both side of bread with 1 T butter. Cut or tear a 3 inch round in middle of bread.

Heat skillet of med-high heat. Fry the bread until golden - turn over and fry until lightly golden. Break egg into hole and fry until your liking. When egg is done remove to a plate.

Add vinegar, water and butter to skillet. Stir until the butter is melted. Drizzle the vinegar sauce over the egg. Garnish with parsley and fresh ground pepper.

I do not generally use nonstick pans but this works best in one.
