@Barbarainnc  Way to go!! I've been using Debdoozie's recipe for about a year now, and everyone loves it. I think it's the salsa that makes the difference. I do use diced tomatoes and add chopped veggies at the end to make it more of a complete meal, so I don't think I would win a contest, but the family approves. Again, congratulations!

made the recipe tonight as it is windy and rainy in the NE - calls for chili

 

very good but my concoction of chili powder is heavy on cayenne pepper so i cut the amt indicated 

 

topped with cheese and sour cream - YUM!
