I have the smaller version, but have used it for over 20 years: 1 lb. stew meat, 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1 can onion soup (not cream of onion). I've been making it in the slow cooker and it works great that way too. It's a good, stand-by recipe that's great with noodles, rice or mashed potatoes.

Re: Easy and yummy Beef Stroganoff recipe.....Yummy too.

I make a variation of your recipe in my Crockpot:

1 lb stew meat

3 10.75-oz cans Golden Mushroom soup

1 cup chopped onions

4 tsp minced garlic

1 1/2 tbs Worcestershire sauce

3/4 cup water

4 oz cream cheese

1 1/2 tsp beef Better Than Boullion concentrate

1/2 packet onion soup mix

8 oz sliced mushrooms

1 tsp butter

Stir stew meat, mushroom soup, onion, Worcestershire sauce, water, garlic, onion soup mix, and beef broth concentrate in crockpot.  Cook on Low for 5-6 hours until meat is tender.

Saute mushrooms in butter, then stir into crockpot 30 minutes before serving.

Everyone, I have a question......

Stewed meat = Beef Cubes?

You can also cut a chuck roast into 1" cubes.

YES. This may sound strange but I have made this with chicken too. Cut up chicken breast in bit size pieces.

Re: Easy and yummy Beef Stroganoff recipe.....Yummy too.

This post made me want some but I have to limit my sodium.

I sautéed some mushrooms and unions in a skillet. Then I added some no sodium beef stock and some sliced low sodium roast beef. I left it in skillet and added the uncooked no yolk noodles and covered it. Let it cook the noodles. Then I added a slurry of corn starch with beef stock to thicken the sauce.

As I served it I added a dollop of sour cream.

I had a good lower sodium beef stroganoff. I was surprised that family members did not add salt but you could.

Thanks for making me think of a way to tweak your recipes.

I use Mary Beth's recipe out of the old QVC cookbook.  It has ground beef, onions and celery, mushroom soup and beef broth.  Also sour cream and egg noodles.  I'd write it out but no idea where that cookook is.
