Easy Peasy French Apple Pie with a dump crust..try it!

My 10 year old granddaughter just won fist prize at her girl scout bake off and earned a badge with this pie she made 100% by herself.

She made 2 of them...one for the family to eat and one to take to the bakeoff. It was amazing and delicious. It's an Impossibly Easy French Apple Pie made with Bisquick. No need to make and roll a crust. It makes it's own. There are several recipes out there, but she used this one from Betty Crocker.

IMPOSSIBLY EASY FRENCH APPLE PIE

Filling

3 large apples (3 cups) peeled and sliced (we used 5 apples (Granny Smith and Honey Crisp to fill the whole pie plate)

1 tea ground cinnamon

1/4 tea nutmeg (she left this out)

1/2 cup Original Bisquick mix

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 Tab. softened butter

2 eggs

Streusel

1/2 cup Original Bisquick mix

1/4 cup chopped nuts (she used walnuts)

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 Tab cold butter

Directions

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 9-inch glass pie plate (she used a 10-inch ceramic pie plate). In medium bowl, mix apples, cinnamon & nutmeg; place in pie plate.

In medium bowl, stir remaining filling ingredients until well blended. Pour over apple mixture in pie plate.

In small bowl, mix streusel ingredients with fingers until crumbly; sprinkle over filling.

Bake 40-45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes. Store in refrigerator. (She baked it for 60 minutes probably because we used extra apples.)

This pie made it's own crust. It was easy to cut and serve...She served it cold. It was gone in a matter of minutes. Everyone loved it.

If a 10 year old can make this, so can everyone else.

I have made the impossible quiches, but I never heard of the one your granddaughter made. It sounds delicious and I'm definitely going to give it a try.

Thank you for sharing this recipe and please tell your granddaughter congratulations on her win! You should be very proud of her achievement.

Thank you for your kind words.

I have made the Impossible Coconut Pie many times with my grandkids. You just put everything in the blender and pour into a pie dish. The crust is on the bottom, the cream in the middle and the coconut is on the top, all toasted when it's done...like magic.

This was the first time for this recipe, but she can't wait to make it again.

I had a similar pie recipe for a custard pie but have never seen the apple. Congratulations to your granddaughter and thanks for the recipe!

I really hate making pie crusts. This is great!

I went to the Betty Crocker site and now have tons of super easy recipes to do. You can't also make them gluten free with their gluten free mix. You are right!!! Anyone can do these recipes.

Thanks, I'll have to try this. I've done several of the savory impossible pies, but never tried a "sweet" version!

Congratulations to your granddaughter! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Thank you so much for this recipe. I will give it a try. My husband loves apple pie and so do I, but I am terrible at making pie crust so I usually just buy the ones already made.

Your granddaughter sounds like such a sweety. Tell her congratulations on her win.

I've been making this for years. I had it in an old Bisquick cookbook. No crust to deal with. I also make their quiche like this, no crust.
