EASIEST KEY LIME PIE

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)Easy-Key-Lime-Pie_EXPS_QEBZ20_247123_E01_24_5b-1.jpg
  • 1/2 cup Key lime juice or lime juice (preferably Key limes)
  • 1 graham cracker crust (9 inches)
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • Lime slices, optional

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Beat in milk and lime juice until blended. Transfer to crust. Refrigerate, covered, at least 4 hours. Just before serving, garnish with whipped topping and, if desired, lime slices.

@ciao_bella

Thank You for the recipe. I’ve never made or tried Key Lime Pie.

This will be something new for my husband and me.

I do have a question: would you happen to know how many fresh limes make this recipe?

I will never juice Key Limes again, but I think any recipe that includes sweetened condensed milk is yummy.

Re: Easiest Key Lime Pie

[ Edited ]

Key limes are juicy but small and don't yield much.  You would need about 12-16 limes to get 1/2 cup of juice.   If you can't find Key limes or regular limes,  you can use lime juice (not the  'concentrated' kind) that's in the bottles. That's just plain awful. I sometimes buy the lime juice in one of those green lime shaped squeeze plastic containers, usually found in the fresh produce department of the grocery store. It's real lime juice in there not that crappy stuff that is concentrated in a bottle.

My neighbor just brought us over a couple slices of key lime pie about an hour ago.  I like key line yogurt but have never eaten key lime pie.  What she brought over looks very good.  We just ate a pizza so we will have to wait til later to try the pie.

Although looking @ciao_bella 's pie, my mouth is watering.  Probably can't wait too long to eat the pie!

The Weight Watcher recipe for key lime pie is made with a small sugar free lime jello dissolved in 1/4 cup boiling water, add 2 key lime pie yogurts, and 8 oz fat free cool whip.  Pour into reduced fat graham cracker crust and chill several hours before serving.

@ciao_bella    You're right, this makes the best, easiest key lime pie.  Zip, zip and you're done.

@ciao_bella

This recipe looks good.

So many "easy" recipes lose the flavor.

I am not willing to give up a few minutes prep for flavor!
