My DH and I both remember a dish that both our mom's made when we were little. No one remembers much about it in either family. Both our mom's called it Russian F-l-u-f-f.(had to be that word didn't it!) We both really liked it, and have not found a recipe similar to what we remember.
It had layered ground beef, rice, peas, tomato sauce or soup, and was topped with mashed potatoes. It could have had some thing more or less in it, but those are the things we seem to remember. One of those comfort things from childhood.
Any one know of a recipe like this? Thanks!
