EASY, FAST and CHEAP Meal

[ Edited ]

Here's a fast, easy and cheap meal that goes together in no time.  Get a loaf or two of the Walmart French Breads in their bakery department.  They're $1.00 each.  Slice them in half lengthwise, top with pizza sauce, mozzarella or provolone or any cheese/s you like.  Top with your favorite toppings and Bake 475 degrees for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted, gooey and, if you like, slightly browned.   Beats paying $20 and more for a pizza these days305891480_210841541277646_457755348550362072_n.jpg

Re: EASY, FAST and CHEAP Meal

@ciao_bella  I did start doing this since my last large pizza was. $34.  What? 🤨🤨🤨 It was pepperoni only.  I don't think I'm cheap but $34 was crazy.  And I picked it up, not delivery.

I didn't try it with French bread, but twice I used a loaf of frozen garlic bread and used tomatoes, basil and mozzarella.  It was just delicious.  These look amazing too.  What a great value and fresh and hot.

@lynnie61  Exactly!  I recently bought a pizza from a favorite pizza place we go to and I picked it up as well.  The cost was $29 plus tax, so over $30.  You can also use Ciabatta bread instead of the French Bread.  Ciabatta bread comes in square type rolls too.  I've used those as well.  Ciabatta bread has a good 'chew' to them.

@ciao_bella   Didn't think of ciabatta.  My favorite for a good sandwich or just toasted with butter!  I'll try that next.
