Duncan Hines Tiara Pans--Looking for Recipe

I'm looking for a recipe (probably from 70's) that came with these tiara pans. It called for the Duncan Hines Butter Cake Mix. You made it in the two pans. Had a filling of cream cheese and ?. Over that you put a can of Comstock Cherry Pie Filling on each "cake." My friend said it was called "flan" cake. I misplaced my recipe and would love to make it for Christmas. (you could also use another flavor of the pie filling: blueberry, etc.) It was a delicious dessert.
