I am looking to make a Vintage Cake for Christmas. Problem is it calls for 18.25 oz of cake mix.  Duncan Hines only makes 15.25 now.  So I bought 2 boxes.  Anybody know how many teaspoons of tablespoons I have to  add to bring 1 st box up to 18.25 oz?

The difference is 3ounces, so you could measure 3oz of the cake mix in a measuring cup.

You can only measure liquids in a measuring cup.  You need a scale to measure how many teaspoons of cake mix equal 3 ozs.

I will open a cake mix and see if I can figure it out.  I have an accurate scale.

update:  1/2 cup plus 2 tea is 3 oz.  I measured on a scale

Everyone here is so helpful! Now I know where to go when I need to find out why my oatmeal cookies came out so crappy!

Vintage=recipe handed down from generations of family or friends. Example:my grandmother

LOL Thank you 😊 l thought it was a particular kind of cake. Like a Black Forrest, German Chocolate etc.  I feel foolish thinking everyone thinks Idk what vintage means lol EMBARRASSING!
