Re: Do you 'fix' 3 meals a day?

If I want a "meal", I eat out. Otherwise, I "graze". I retired from work....and from cooking!

Re: Do you 'fix' 3 meals a day?

Yes and no. I inherited some displaced grands but refuse to do breakfast. Have whatever for lunch and I do on occasion cook my big meal at lunch. Otherwise I do fix a good dinner. Do not always have meat as I grew up in the South and was raised on veggies - love them - all kinds of ways. I much prefer, however, my peace and quiet I had for several years. LOL. Even living alone I often fixed a big meal for dinner - just for me - with leftovers aplenty of course.

I always fix myself some breakfast. My husband eats breakfast later, once he gets to the office. I will either eat leftovers, a salad or soup, or microwave a Lean Cuisine or something like that for lunch. I make dinner every night for my husband and I to really be able to watch our fat and calorie intake and I'm really too tired to go out anyway at the end of the day. We do go out occasionally.

Sort of--kind of ! My absolute favorite thing for breakfast is leftovers from the night before's dinner. Then ,as Desertdi said , I kind of graze while preparing or obtaining a meal for dinner. For example---this morning I had leftover corned beef, potatoes, carrots, onions and cabbage. In a little while I may have some sort of sandwich and well prepare meatballs and spaghetti for dinner....tomorrow's breakfast: left over spaghetti and meatballs, etc......you get the picture !

Typically Monday-Saturday, yes. Sunday is a no cook day for us. There are times like today after doing some morning shopping, we will go out for lunch.

Nope. As a rule, I only fix supper. Breakfast is wheat english muffins or cereal. We work through the week, so most lunches are eaten out. I fix the night meal through the week. On the weekends we eat our normal breakfast, a simple lunch and we eat out for supper.

I have Instant Breakfast in the morning, half a sandwich and some fruit for lunch and a meat, salad and fresh vegies for din. We grill quite a bit. I eat very few starches but I fix them for my husband because men burn more calories.

Re: Do you 'fix' 3 meals a day?

I fix myself something simple around 11:00 A.M. and then I fix dinner usually Monday thru Thursday and we eat out the other three days. My husband eats lunch out and it is always something light and simple. We grill a lot and just have some sort of salad or veggies to go with for dinner. It really all depends on our mood!

Re: Do you 'fix' 3 meals a day?

Probably depends upon what "fix" means!

This morning I poured OJ, made coffee in my Keurig, and eventually boiled an egg to soft and made a piece of toast. That's fixing as far as I'm concerned.

Lunch today is veggies sticks and some humus - both left from fixings for a huge tray I took to a gathering yesterday. All the fixing was done then.

Same for dinner. I baked chicken on Monday and tonight I'll have that with some cranberry sauce I fixed fresh this morning as well as lots of salad odds and ends with a spoon of oil and vinegar for dressing.

All told - that close to as much fixing as I do for myself most of the time.
