Thanks everyone!  Never thought I would get so many great replies.  Publix has Oxtail.  Gotta get some soon.

My father-in-law made the best oxtails with rice & gravy I've ever had. We used to have a store called Moo & Oink for things like this or for chitterlings (another favorite of ours). These were always made during holidays and very time consuming but oh so good. I always asked for his recipe but he never fully gave it. He'd leave one thing out & add it the next time. He'd sit in the kitchen on a stool stirring the pots he had going. Homemade BBQ sauce, oxtails & pot roast were his specialties. We lost him a few weeks back on Aug 7th. His 97th bday would have been Aug 10th. I never got the full recipe but I had the privilege of knowing him 😊

I had it pretty often growing up.  It's just beef soup with oxtails for meat and it is very good!
