Last night I "winged" it and made this rice.I had the peppers in my garden & the other ingredients in the house. So simple and unbelievably good. Everyone loved it.
2 bags Boil-in-bag rice
1 small onion, chopped
2 small sweet frying peppers, sliced into thin rings
1 pkg. Goya Sazon..I used the Con Azafran
In Dutch oven boil the rice as directed, set bags in colander to drain
In same pan add a little oil. Add onion & peppers. Saute over medium heat, I let the onions brown just a tad.
Pour rice into pan, add Sazon & stir. That's it!
A wonderful flavor, the rice isn't dry & a pretty yellow color. I'm sure you could add whatever you like to this. Maybe mushrooms, peas etc.
