@luvmybeetle ..... sorry to disagree with you but, he is not always off .... he has vacation time & is entitled to use the time off .... I guess you don’t work so you just don’t understand that vacation time is very important to use!!

David also said on Wednesday that this would be his last vacation until Christmas, so those missing him will get plenty of him the next few months.

And @SharkE the bread thing is the recipe theme for the month of September. "Bountiful Breads".

Yes, I do understand and I did work for 50 years. I just remember when David used to work a 3 hour show and not take a break. Other hosts do 3 hour shows and are not able to take breaks. Vacation is deserved but they should stop saying WELL deserved as other hosts deserve vacations also. No one says that about Mary Beth or any other host. Mary Beth did his whole show without a break.

David's two cooking shows are the only ones I watch on QVC these days, so I'm always sorry when he's on vacation. However, there's nothing worse than watching a tired, burned-out host who's running on auto-pilot, so I'm glad they get time to recharge. Also, I love Mary Beth.

"well deserved vacation" is a phrase they throw around, aren't all vacations well deserved. Are some peoples better than others ?

Well for me I just wish he would not eat so much. If we want to continue watching him he needs to "back away" from some of that food. I'm thinking about those arteries getting clogged! (I'm being serious here) He is eating a lot on the show and then he sometimes tells what he is cooking when he gets home or if something is really good on the show he says he is taking some home.

Personally I prefer Mary Beth since she is much more professional....tiring of the on-air planned DV antics...it is getting very old! I am one who just loves the kitchen shows, Mary is very favored by me and fun...so having to endure the on-air behavior is a struggle for me since I love the shows but not the DV show host!
