I found the original recipe at cook dot com but I tinkered so much it's almost another recipe. So this is my version...

RICE PUDDING IN CROCKPOT

1 c. uncooked rice ( jasmine )

Dash sea salt

7 cups milk

1/3 cup sugar

2/3 cup raisins

***************************

1 egg

2 Tbsp. vanilla

2 Tbsp butter

Nutmeg and cinnamon to taste

Grated orange peel

Put the rice, salt, sugar, raisins, and milk in crockpot and cook on med/high for 3 hours. Take some hot mixture from crockpot and add to the egg to temper and put back into crockpot. Add vanilla, butter, and remaining ingredients and bring to boil for 30 minutes or so till creamy.

NOTE: Crockpots vary ….. 2 hours med to high was plenty of time for my crockpot.
