CrockPot Round Steak

3 potatoes... peeled and quartered
1 /2 onion... chopped
6 carrots...peeled and sliced into 1 inch pieces
2 pounds boneless round steak
1 envelope of dry onion soup mix
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
3/4 cup of water

Brown beef...set aside
Place the potatoes, onion and carrots in crockpot. Cut steak into 6 pieces, then put meat on top of veggies. In a mixing bowl combine the soup mix, soup and water pour over beef.

Cover and cook on low for 6 to 9 hours.

Sounds yummy, especially for a snowy day here today. Expecting 6+ inches with more due to lake effect snow from Lake Michigan, SE WI.

Several years ago I used to fix something similar but without the added vegetables. It is a good recipe. The soup-sauce makes a nice gravy for mashed potatoes too!  I love crock-pot cooking and will try this variation to an "oldie but goodie" recipe. Thanks @LilBitMissty .
