I haven't owned a crock pot in ages but just got a 2.5 quart . Any favorite things that would cook well in this little crock pot? Thanks.

DD got four slow cookers when she married...she gave me the smaller one and gave two to her sisters. I like the smaller one for just two people. I use it like I did my larger one that finally quit working...I just make smaller amounts, which is what we need now. I make a small pot roast in it with some carrots and seasoning...then shred it and use it as the base for veg soup, tacos, or add sauce and make bbq sandiches.

I love my smaller slow cooker and use it frequently. We're in our mid 70s and just don't have the big appetites we once had. DH likes this easy recipe....I like it too because I don't end up with leftovers that might sit in the refrig for a week.
Easy Smoked Sausage
1/2 of a Smoked Sausage or Kielbasa link, sliced in 1 1/2" pieces. (Freeze the other half).
1 can Bushes baked beans
2 Tbsp. chopped onion
1 small can pineapple tidbits or chunks, drained well (use less than the full can if you wish)
1 Tbsp brown sugar
If you need more liquid, add a little ketchup.
Mix all together and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
Serve with a green salad or cottage cheese/applesauce, and garlic bread

2.5 quarts is good for hot dips if you have company.
spinach dip, queso dip, sausage cheese dip, buffalo chicken dip.
i also make a hot tomato, caramelized onion, feta (or goat cheese) dip.

I use my crock pot all the time, and I don't think many people know this trick: you can use it as a mini-oven, I wrap sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, beets, carrots in foil (I usually cut them in half) and put on high for 2-3 or so hours (for me it seems once I can smell them they are done, but you can check and put them back in if not) and they come out like oven roasted. NO water in the crock pot, put them in dry. A trick a friend told me years ago and I've done it hundreds of times.

@Robertak The one time I cooked beets, I did it in foil and in the slow cooker. Not as messy.
