Crock Pot hot chocolate - UPDATE

[ Edited ]

What recipe did you use?  I have found a couple and one said to use a powerdered hot chocolate mix.  I was wondering what brand you used if you went this route.

TIA

Starbuck's Hot Cocoa mix is very good as is Land a Lakes Hot Cocoa Supreme mix.

I'm going to try it Christmas Eve....hope it turns out.  I will have some little kids so thought it may be fun to have a hot chocolate bar.  I'm going to have marshmallows, choc syrup, peppermint sprinkles, whipped topping.....not sure if anything else.

If anyone has done this before and has ideas, I would love to read them!!

Well that sounds good! I like that idea. My neighbor had a few couple over and served spiced cider from the crockpot. The house smelled soooo good when we walked in.

I’ve used peppermint candy canes to stir the hot chocolate with , chocolate candy bars broken in small squares , caramel candies , red hots cinnamon candy ( I use those with apple cider also )

This recipe is in the recipe book that came with my Cuisinart slow cooker:

3 quarts milk

4 cups milk chocolate chips

3 cups heavy whipping cream

2 14-ounce cans sweetened condensed milk

2 tsps vanilla

Whisk everything in slow cooker.

Cover and cook on Low until chips are melted, about 3 hours.  Whisk occasionally.
