Crock Pot Cooking Times link

I posted the link, MORE info on the page. How to Cook Basically Anything in Your Crock Pot Cooking Time

If your recipe requires a certain amount of time in the oven, it will require a longer cooking time in the crock pot. As a general rule, 1 hour of cooking at 350 ° F equals 6 to 8 hours on a low setting or 4 to 6 hours on high.

Here is a chart to help your conversions:

Stove/Oven Cook Time

A) 15 to 30 minutes

B) 35 to 45 minutes

C) 50 minutes to 3 hours

Slow Cooker (Low)

A) 4 to 6 hours

B) 6 to 10 hours

C) 8 to 12 hours

Slow Cooker (High)

A) 1.5 to 2.5 hours

B) 3 to 4 hours

C) 4 to 6 hours

 Practice safe slow cooking!

Bacteria grows over time and likes lower temperature environments. Cooks Illustrated says the key is to get the temperature up to and past 140° F (the temperature in which bacteria cannot grow) as quickly as possible. Be sure to use a thermometer when applicable.

Thanks for posting this info. @milkbone!

I haven't tried to convert anything from an oven recipe, as usually I just make up a recipe to use in a slow cooker, or will use a recipe that is already made for a slow cooker, so this information is very good to know! Smiley Happy
