Cranberries and chocolate chips sunk

For the first time I made a bread/cake.  The recipe is out of the bread machine cookbook.  It has dried cranberries and chocolate chips and walnuts in it.  They all sank to the bottom of the loaf.

If I put them in flour first will that keep them from sinking?

Thanks

@Imaoldhippie.   Everything I've ever read on thst subject, says to dredge the "add ins" in flour before adding to the dough.

Yes, dredging in flour will help, but if your batter is too thin that may not make a difference.

@Imaoldhippie.....sounds delicious even if the extras sunk to the bottom.
