You might have access through Walmart to order it, but Shawnee Mills cornbread mix is good, cornbread and not cake!  We like the white better than the yellow, but both are great.  It is made in Shawnee, Oklahoma!

Another bonus, it is NOT expensive!  We buy the little packets (often make two at a time and freeze some) but it is good.  It takes 2 to make a decent sized pan of cornbread.

@MistyWhisper.  Buying cornmeal and making from a scratch is just as easy as using a mix.  All the recipes I've seen do call for some flour.  Flour keeps it from being a pan of crumbs.

I use the White Lily Buttermilk White Cornmeal Mix and follow the recipe on the bag for Southern Cornbread.  It's really easy, just 2 cups of the Cornmeal, 1 egg, 1/4 cup oil, and milk (or buttermilk iin my case).

Been using that for years.  If you want yellow rather than white, they've probably got that too, I just prefer the white.

Make it from scratch! It's so easy, and you can control the sweetness. If you need a recipe, I have one I can share.

Making cornbread from scratch is so easy. I like to use white corn flour because that's not as sweet-tasting as yellow. I usually use whatever cornbread recipe is on the box, but reduce the sugar to 1 Tablespoon.

I like White Lilly, but you still need to add milk and eggs.

Baking it in a pre-heated cast-iron cornbread pan (with melted butter!) makes a big difference.
